Defender Scalability & Migration

Defender Scalability

The Defender Security Server, the power behind the Defender product, provides mission-critical authentication services which scale to support millions of users and protect multiple applications and resources across numerous physical sites.

Defender supports an unlimited number of Security Servers which can be deployed across the geography of an organisation leading to unrivalled availability and fault tolerance.

Whether your security requirement encompasses 100 or 1,000,000 users, Defender can be deployed and managed without increasing your current administration overhead.

Migrating to Defender

PassGo Technologies recognize the pain which can be involved in rolling out products, which is why Defender can be introduced alongside your existing legacy security architecture, allowing the planned migration of users from your legacy systems to Defender.

Specifically, Defender can be installed alongside an existing token based authentication system, transparently allowing existing users to authenticate with Defender. If a user has not yet been migrated, the authentication request is automatically proxied directly to the incumbent authentication system. This proxy based approach permits a phased and controlled migration away from other, more expensive token systems, allowing the gradual replacement of the shorter lived tokens, with Defender tokens, as and when they expire.
